General Requirements for
Admission of High School Graduates to the Computer Science Program
To receive consideration for admission to the Baccalaureate degree program
in Computer Science at the WVU-Tech, applicants must have successfully
completed the following high school units:
4 units of English
3 units of Social Studies
2 units of high school algebra
1 unit of plane geometry
1 unit of trigonometry (or advanced math).
2 units in laboratory sciences
Obtain an ACT math score of 2l, a SAT math score of 450, or a high school
average of B(3.00).
Students wishing to pursue a career in
engineering or computer science but do not meet the above criteria can be
admitted to the Pre-engineering Program for one year while becoming eligible.
